HOUSE RULES

BARRY GROENTEMAN BOXING SCHOOL

At Barry Groenteman Boxing School, respect, discipline, safety, and sportsmanship are at the core of everything we do. To ensure a safe, positive, and enjoyable training environment for everyone, we ask all members to follow the house rules below.

1. Respect

• Treat trainers, staff, volunteers, and fellow members with respect at all times.
• Discrimination, bullying, intimidation, threats, aggression, or any form of inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
• Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, background, religion, or skill level.

2. Arriving on Time

• Please arrive on time for your training session.
• If you are late, report to the trainer before joining the class.
• Repeated lateness may result in exclusion from the training session.

3. Safety

• Always follow the instructions of trainers and staff.
• Safety always comes before performance.
• Sparring is only permitted under the supervision of a trainer.
• Use the required protective equipment during training sessions.

4. Hygiene

• Always train in clean sportswear.
• Use clean boxing gloves and hand wraps.
• Keep the training area, changing rooms, and sanitary facilities clean and tidy.
• Wearing flip-flops in the changing rooms is recommended.

5. Equipment

• Treat all equipment with care and respect.
• Return and store equipment properly after use.
• Damage caused by negligence or intentional misconduct may be charged to the member responsible.

6. Mobile Phones

• Mobile phones must remain stored away during training sessions.
• Filming or taking photographs during classes is only permitted with the trainer’s permission.

7. Changing Rooms and Personal Belongings

• Leave valuable items at home whenever possible.
• Personal belongings are brought to the facility at the member’s own risk.
• Barry Groenteman Boxing School is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

8. Alcohol, Drugs, and Doping

• Participation in training sessions while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicating substances is strictly prohibited.
• The use of banned performance-enhancing substances is not accepted.

9. Health

• Do not attend training if you are ill or pose a health risk to others.
• Always inform your trainer in advance of any injuries, medical conditions, or physical limitations.

10. Youth Members

• Parents and guardians are expected to treat trainers and staff with respect.
• Trainers determine the content of classes and group placements.
• Decisions made by trainers regarding safety, skill level, and progression must be respected.

11. Social Media

• Use social media responsibly and respectfully when posting messages, photos, or videos involving members, trainers, or the boxing school.
• Content that damages the reputation of the boxing school, its members, or its staff may result in disciplinary action.

12. Boxing School Culture

We strive to create a positive environment where recreational members, youth athletes, and competitive boxers can develop to their full potential.

13. Violations of the House Rules

In the event of a violation of these house rules, Barry Groenteman Boxing School reserves the right to:

• Issue a warning;
• Refuse participation in a training session;
• Impose a temporary suspension;
• Terminate a membership.

Depending on the seriousness of the violation, immediate suspension or termination may occur without prior warning.
